This class explores the individuals, historical events, and influential movements that have shaped the history of the church. It covers a wide range of topics, starting from the time of Jesus up until the twentieth century. The course examines the early church, the impact of Constantine, the development of the church during the Middle Ages, the Reformation in Europe and Great Britain, as well as the significance of Protestantism in France. It also delves into more recent centuries, addressing the topics of doubt and dogma, and culminates with a study of the Great Awakening, focusing on figures such as Edwards, Whitefield, and Wesley.
This course is a 3 Credit Course, and offers 10 Continual credit.
This course is designed by Dr. T Gorden, our Professor of Historical and Pastoral Theology. Dr. T. Gorden hold’s a Doctor of Theology in Pastoral Theology with additional Post Doctoral work in Historical Theology. Dr. T. Gorden also holds a Masters of Theology in Bibilcal Studies.
